Stacy and her husband, Rick, began with an idea in 2005 and have seen their vision grow into a thriving business in a few short years. They believed that as more private companies and government entities are being required to diversify their work force and supplier base, the timing was right to create an experienced, reliable, woman - owned, facilities solutions company.

Richard Stanton

Co-Founder and President
Rick combines almost twenty years of commercial cleaning experience with a genuine dedication to his clients’ needs. From conceptualizing a customer’s janitorial service plan to his hands-on supervision of accounts, Rick encourages all of his employees to take an ownership approach with each customer. This winning formula has been a catalyst for the company’s steady growth over the past two decades.


Fernando Canales

Director of Operations
Fernando, who offers customers more than a dozen years of facilities solutions experience, joined Diversified Building Services, LLC three years ago. He currently directs several Area Managers, who are assigned to specific geographic regions throughout the state of Connecticut. Each manages a portfolio of properties, while interfacing with clients, and performing key management functions. Fernando visits different customers daily to garner client feedback, perform quality control inspections, and provide our service staff with direction and support.


SHane Shapiro

Vice President
Mr. Shapiro offers clients the experience of 15 years in facilities and support services to maintain or enhance results while reducing costs. His approach to Conditions-based Contracting provides a refreshing approach to delivering the finest results while reducing your maintenance expense budget. Susan Terzi

Administrative Assistant
Susan joined Diversified Building Services, LLC in September 2007 to assist her husband, Tony, in the day-to-day operations of the sales department. With a managerial background in the insurance claims industry, Susan’s people skills make her an ideal communicator and problem solver.
